The author of this international geodetic pentathlon is the Oskar Winkler Secondary Technical School in Lučenec (Slovakia), where some of the previous years were held.

The competition requires completing a several-kilometer-long route (10-17 km) in the Krušné Mountains. Mixed teams of three members compete in two disciplines. Competitors navigate their own GPS and perform basic geodetic tasks (leveling of the instrument, area determination, altitude determination or object height, spot height determination by technical leveling) at given posts. Each school can send two teams of three participants plus a pedagogical escort. Participants are provided with accommodation, food and transport from the accommodation to the place of the competition itself.

I believe that we will meet in April 2019 and the competition will be a pleasant enrichment of the existing knowledge and experience not only for the contestants themselves but for all the people involved in the competition.
